How to Create a Multi-language Site

Last Updated: Aug 08, 2018
Note: We do not provide support for hacks, so use them at your own risk. If you're not comfortable with coding, we recommend against using this workaround.

Semplice does not support multi-language plugins like WPML.
However, you can get around this by using a plugin called Conditional Menus.

This essentially allows you to create duplicates of your pages in different languages, and show/hide them depending on the language. Once you create the duplicate pages in Semplice, you can assign a custom class and use CSS (in the Branding tab CSS editor of your page/project in Semplice) to show or hide menu items.

For example, if you have a German and English site, you could hide German menu items on an English page by placing CSS in the Branding tab CSS editor like this:

.german-menu-item {
display: none !important;
}

And vice-versa for English on German pages.
