Permalinks are the permanent URLs to your individual pages and projects in Semplice. By default, your permalink will match your original page or project title. All project URLs contain "/project" by default, which is the slug. You can edit the permalink and project slug from your page or project settings.
Note: If you are manually linking to your projects anywhere on your site, you will need to update the links after changing your permalink or slug. Hyperlinks will not automatically reset.
Changing the default permalink
To access your page settings, click Pages from your Semplice dashboard. Now hover over your page and click the page settings icon. Here you can set a custom permalink of your choice. (Find project settings under Projects.)
Setting a custom project slug
To change the "/project" slug in your project URLS, go to Semplice > Settings > Project Slug and set your own custom project slug name. This slug will be used for ALL projects.
Troubleshooting
"Permalinks not working" Error, or .htaccess Error
These errors can occur is something is not right in your server settings or in your .htaccess file. Resetting your permalink structure in Wordpress usually resolves this issue:
To do this, go to Settings > Permalinks in Wordpress and set the permalink structure to the 'Plain' option or 'Day and Name' option, then back to 'Custom.' Your permalink structure has now been reset.
If the issue still persists, there most likely is an issue with your .htaccess file. In that case, contact your host and ask them to make sure your .htaccess settings are configured correctly.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, try installing a fresh copy of Wordpress/Semplice into a new directory/folder on your web server. Sometimes, all you need is a fresh install to resolve this issue.
