We do not provide support for hacks, so use them at your own risk. If you're not comfortable with coding, we recommend against using this workaround.
Semplice does not include a contact form as most people prefer to simply link their email address these days. However, it's easy to set up a form using a third-party plugin.
You can use most any plugin you prefer, such as Contact Form 7 or NinjaForms. For this guide, we will use NinjaForms.
Important: Make sure that the "Frontend Mode" option is set to "Static" in "General" settings.
Step 1: Install & activate contact form plugin
Go to Plugins > Add New in the Wordpress dashboard and search for the plugin you want to install. Now click Install and Activate.
Step 2: Grab the shortcode
Once your plugin is activated, go to the plugin's settings and grab the generated shortcode that contains your form.
Step 3: Display the form
Go to the page where you want to add your form and drag a Code module onto the page. Now paste your shortcode into the Code module editor, being sure to select 'Is Shortcode?' in the Code module options before saving.
That's it! Really that simple.
Customizing the form
If you wish to customize the contact form, you will need to customize through the plugin settings or with custom CSS. We cannot offer custom code support on how to style third-party plugins.
Troubleshooting
If your form does not display at all or only on page refresh, you may need to disable Single Page App mode under Semplice > Settings.
If Single Page App mode is disabled and the form still does not load, the plugin may not be compatible with Semplice. In this case, you will need to try another plugin.
