At the moment there is no built-in functionality that will allow you to link a self-hosted video. However, by adding a transparent image over your video and linking that image, you can create a workaround.
This way, you could manually create your own portfolio grid with videos that link to your projects/pages.
Step 1: Add an image module to your page
In the page editor, drag and drop the "Image" module to your page/project. Click on the module to open the settings and switch from "Content" to "Column." Now under "Background Options", switch from "Image" to "Video" and upload your video:
Step 2: Add a transparent image
Now you will need to add the transparent PNG image that has the same aspect ratio as your video. We will add your link to this image. You can download an example image here:
16x9 - Dropbox link
4x3 - Dropbox link
1x1 - Dropbox link
In image settings make sure to set the "Width" of the image to the "Grid Width" and add your link in the "Links to" settings:
You can also drag the right side of the module to resize your column:
Troubleshooting
I can't see the "Image" module in the page editor
Please note, after you exit the page/project and navigate back, the "play" icon will disappear since the transparent image will cover it (but it's still there). If you would like to keep the module visible in the editor you can use the transparent image with a bit of color in it. In this case, you will have a nice video effect 😉
