This is a guide for Semplice 5. If you are using Semplice 4, please refer to this guide.
Creating sticky or fixed content is now incredibly simple with the all-new Animation editor in Semplice.
Setting the trigger type
In order to fix our content, we will use the "pin" feature with the "On Scroll" trigger type. Open up the Animation editor and create your new animation. Set the trigger type to "On Scroll".
Timeline settings
Since we will be creating our content or column to be "fixed" or sticky, we do not need to assign it a move value. However, we do need to initialize it. Create a new step in your animation Timeline, and use the default values. Our animation is now initialized.
Setting the scroll
Now click the Scroll settings. In the Scroll settings, enable the "Pin Content" option. Next, turn on the "Pin Spacing" option.
Note: if you wish for your pinned content to "float" above or behind your page content irregardless of page content, turn the pin spacing feature off.
Setting the start and duration
Play around with the Scroll Start position and duration values to customize when your content starts to become pinned and for how long. Have fun!
